Catching up with Alyssa Ruffin
*First I would like to share that I was recently named the 2024 Armed Forces Insurance - Buckley Space Force Base Spouse of the Year in Colorado for my efforts in advocacy supporting difficult topics like Suicide Awareness, and various types of abuse and trauma.
*Second, I'd like to share that I won Artist of the Year at the 8th Annual Mississippi Music Awards. Additionally, I was nominated for Best Original Song "The Sacrifice", Artist of the Year (The Sacrifice), Female Artist of the Year - (The Sacrifice), and Best Female Mississippi Country.
*Third, I recently won two awards ‘Best Female Pop Vocal’, and ‘Best Country Song - “First Touch" at the Rampage Music Awards. “First Touch” is a collaboration with Tony Black and recorded at The Afterdark Studio in Cartersville, Georgia. Shout out to mastermind Ryini Beats for the fabulous beat behind the music
*Finally, I am nominated in multiple categories at the 10th Annual Josie Music Awards, held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, TN. Those categories include Artist of the Year (multi genre JMA Alum), Vocalist of the Year, and Song of the Year (Modern Country) for “Midwest Girls”.
*Furthermore, my brand new single "The Sacrifice" released Friday, May 24th on all major music streaming platforms. It can also be requested through the KISS Country 98.7FM website, and you can listen live online or through the iHeart radio app.
"The Sacrifice" tells the story of a Military family, from a Military Spouse point of view. It is a direct reflection of my life, and based on real life events as a military spouse.
It was Produced by P.T. Houston (Lady A, Jamie Johnson, Gretchen Wilson) at Off The Row Recording Studio in Nashville. It features major a-list and award-winning musicians including Grammy Award-winning Mark Prentice (Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, John Oates) on bass guitar and keys, ACM Award-winning Greg Morrow (Luke Bryan, Kacey Musgraves, Brooks N Dunn) on drums, Mike Durham (Tim McGraw, Sam Hunt, Big N Rich) on lead guitar, Michael Spriggs (Trisha Yearwood, Elton John, Martina McBride) on acoustic guitar.
