Catching up with Grace Hart

Hello again MilspoFAN!

It's been a little bit and I'd love to share an update! This past year has been all over the place, with big ups and downs. I've had a lot of fun and I'm really grateful for all of the amazing opportunities that have come my way but there are big changes on the horizon.

My first ever event table at Kadena

My most recent event table at Kadena

I ended last year hitting my income goal at one of the largest events I've ever done and therefore reaching a yearly goal I had. This is a big deal for me because my husband and I are actually separating from the Air Force this year. It's bitter sweet, but I'm very excited to be moving to an area that I know will be great for me and my art business. With those funds and the move, I can finally start working with merchandisers. This is a natural and much anticipated progression that I can't wait to see through. Also at the end of last year I had the opportunity to enter a piece for a gallery show with our USO. Doing so marked another item off of my goal list and I hope to do many more galleries in the future!

My upcoming year will be very hectic. I am trying to plan ahead as much as possible while trying to maintain some normalcy for my business. I am still on the shelf at our gift corner here on Kadena, but the most exciting news is that America Fest ( officially the largest event I'll have done come March) has selected me as a vendor and I really feel this is a showstopper way to end my time both at Kadena and in the USAF. I'm so lucky to have had such an influential and supportive group of friends and entities to help me make my dreams come true. The Rusty Thicket and myself would be on a very different path without all of you, and that includes you guys at MilspoFan!!!!

But seriously. Thank you so much. I really appreciate all that you have done for me and the other artists in my same position. It takes a village!
