Catching up with Kimberly Ratliff

What a busy year it's been! So far, I've painted a 30"x30" canvas of my white octopus, taken an international trip with family to visit relatives in Seoul, South Korea, and experienced the amazing food and sights there. I was brimming with inspiration from that trip.

My son's graduation and other inspirational domestic trips have also kept me busy.

I'm currently working on my second children's book, which will be about a special weekend with my main character, Seoul and her Halmony. My first book, "Seoul Finds Her Talent," was both written and illustrated by me. I've also made friends with several prominent children's book authors and illustrators this past year.

Looking ahead, this fall will be jam-packed - I have art fairs, monthly painting sessions at The Cove on Bellows AFB, and appearances scheduled at the Mililani Keiki Fest, Lani Kai Art Fair, and Hickam Fall Art Fest.
